Steel sales surge in Sep

Vietnam Steel Association (VSA) has said that in September, steel consumption is estimated to have increased significantly whereby VSA’s members expect to sell 450,000-470,000 tonnes in month.
In August, VSA’s members consumed 483,000 tonnes of steel, up 124,000 tonnes from
July.

Currently, the stockpiled steel is up to 375,000 tonnes and raw material inventory is nearly 500,000 tonnes.

This stockpiled steel will meet enough the supply in October.

From early September so far, many steel firms have adjusted the steel price, pushing up the retail price in the market to hover 18-18.2 million dong per tonne of steel currently.
