Steel price down another 300,000 dong/tonne

Vietnam Steel Corp (VNSteel) southern headquarters and Viet Steel JSC (Pomina) continued reducing the steel price by 300,000 dong per tonne for rolled steel and steel bar applied on the orders from June 8.

This is the first price reduction of steelmakers in June but the sixth time since the start of May.

Now the price of rolled steel delivered at the factories of VNSteel stands at 12.27-12.32 million dong per tonne, steel bar at 12.82 million dong/tonne.

Reportedly, till the end of May, steel makers exported total 550,000 tonnes of products for $427 million, growing by 250 percent in quantity and 244.1 percent in turnover year-on-year, Pham Chi Cuong-president of Vietnam Steel Association (VSA).
