The southern branch of Vietnam Steel Corp (VNSteel) suddenly reduced the steel price by 150,000 dong per tonnes for scrolled steel and steel bars for all the orders, starting from Sep 20, 2010.

It’s the first time that the corporation has lowered the steel price since early July 2010. At present, the steel price for those products to be delivered at the steel mills stood at 15.65 million dong per tonne at average.

Meanwhile, in the retail markets, the steel agents have recently increased the steel price by 50,000 dong per tonne, to the average price of 15.65-15.75 million dong per tonne. – Tuoitre
