Siemens looks for technological transfer opportunities

German group Siemens is seeking opportunities to supply equipments, technologies and solution to Vietnam’s power projects. The technolofies aim to upgrade the electricity production capacity, energy saving and minimise the environmental harms in the power projects.

Jens Wegmann, Head of the Industry Solutions Division of the Siemens Industry Sector shared the information with Saigon Economic Times online after the forth global press seminar of Siemens talking between May 9 and 13 in Germany.

Wegmann said that Siemens will focus on providing the easy-use products and technologies suitable to the capital scope of most Vietnamese SMEs.

General Director of Siemens Vietnam, Erdal Elver spoke that last year his firm reached total contract value of over 500 million euro, marking the best performance so far in Vietnam.

Big contracts Siemens Vietnam signed in 2009 were related to equipment and maintenance service provision to Nhon Trach 2 power plant, Cong Thanh Cement Co and general hospitals in Vietnam.
