Shiseido opens cosmetics factory in Vietnam
Japan’s largest cosmetics manufacturer Shiseido opened a new factory in Amata Bien Hoa Industrial Park, Dong Nai province on February 2.
This is the first it has built in an ASEAN member country and the 15th worldwide.
Shinzo Maeda, Chairman of Shiseido, said the new factory has a total investment capital of US$42 million and specialises in producing cosmetics, fragrance and health and beauty products.
In its first phase, it will turn out up to 8,700 tonnes of products per year to supply the markets of Japan and Asia.
In the future, the company will cater for male consumers who use mid-range or luxury products.
