Sep 30: Foreigners Net Sell VND998.6 Billion in September, Highest in 2 Years

Foreigners suddenly offloaded Vietnamese shares on the HOSE heavily in September with a total net selling of VND 998.6 billion of which they net sold VND1.008 trillion on HOSE and net bought VND9.4 billion on the HNX.
In September, 2011 the foreigners sold 131,999,230 shares for VND4.535 trillion and bought 98,364,086 shares for VND3.527 trillion, on the Vietnamese biggest exchange, HOSE, the highest level since September 2009, StoxPlus’data showed.
However, they still net bought 1.463 million shares or VND9.348 billion on the smaller cap bourse, the HNX in September, 2011.
This was the second consecutive net selling month by foreigners after they withdrew VND224.3 billion in August, 2011, including VND189.9 billion on the HOSE and VND34.37 on the HNX.
The last record net selling value from these overseas players was logged on September 2009 when they net sold VND1.432 trillion of Vietnamese shares, including net selling of VND1.908 trillion on the HOSE and net buying of VND475.5 billion on the HNX.
For today’s trade, foreigners net bought VND2.31 billion worth of shares on HOSE after buying 3,091, 910 shares for VND110.35 billion and sold 3,584,760 shares for VND108.04 billion, accounting for 13.58% buying value and 13.29% selling value.
Foreigners most actively bought into VHC (VND41.2 billion), KDC (VND6.6 billion), VCB(VND4.8 billion), VIC (VND3.7 billion), BCI (VND2.1 billion).
Foreigners’ top net selling shares were HAG (-VND5.9 billion), RAL (-VND5.3 billion), IJC( –VND3.7 billion), PNJ (-VND2.6 billion), DPM (-VND2.3 billion).
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, foreigners net sold VND0.2 billion worth of shares after buying 346,000 shares for VND4.46 billion and sold 356,600 shares for VND4.64 billion, accounting for 1.28% buying value and 1.33% selling value.
They actively bought into VCS, WSS, DBC, PFL and ORS while their active offloaded were PVS, VND, KLS, PGS, and BVS.”-Source:Stoxplus.com”
