Seminar discusses tourism development in central region

The Japan International Cooperation Agency and the Danang Municipal People’s Committee co-sponsored a seminar on July 30 to discuss a strategy for developing tourism in the key economic zone of Central Vietnam.

Participants included the Head of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Nguyen Van Tuan, and representatives of local departments of culture, sports, and tourism.

Located in the central region, Hue, Quang Nam and Danang all boast world heritage sites such as Hoi An ancient city and My Son relic complex and beautiful beaches such as Cua Dai.

Ngo Quang Vinh, Director of the Danang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that under the new strategy, Danang will acclerate the development of resorts, sports tourism, maritime recreation, and eco-tourism.
