Saigontourist earns VND 11,350 bln in revenue last year

Saigontourist Travel Service Company (Saigontourist) fetched more than VND 11,000 billion in revenue and made a profit of nearly VND 3,500 billion.

The information was released at a conference reviewing the company’s tourism activities in 2011 and setting key tasks for 2012 in Hanoi on January 11.

Tran Hung Viet, general director of Saigontourist said that last year, the company achieved 4.5 percent growth in tourism services against the previous year.

The company welcomed nearly 1.6 million visitors, up nearly 3 percent compared to 2010, while its hotel occupancy rate reached nearly 65 percent.

This year, the company will continue to implement the development strategy “Trademark-Integration-Development” through eight solutions and key tasks in order to achieve average growth of 11 percent.

It also expects to earn VND 12,600 billion in revenue and welcome 1.63 million visitors. – VOV
