Retail petrol prices decrease by VND500/litre

Retail prices of petrol across the country will decrease by VND500 per litre as of 9pm on May 27, according to a Ministry of Finance (MoF)’s recent decision.

With the adjustment, retail prices will be VND16,490 per litre of A92 unleaded petrol.

This is the first time MoF has made a decision to force petrol trading businesses to lower their retail petrol prices after Decree 84/2009/ ND-CP on trading petrol and oil products was issued.

The decision was made as a result of tumbling petrol prices on the world market over the past 20 days, explained MoF.
