Rental charge of retail space in HCM City decreases 2pct versus Q3 2011

Preliminary statistics showed that HCM City has currently about 692,000 m2 of retail space, including 96 shopping centers and mass retailers concentrated in the central districts. In particular, shopping centers accounted for 44% and supermarkets accounted for 31% of total supply, the local newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong (Laborer) reported.

Presently, the rental charge of retail space decreased averagely by 2% from the third quarter of 2011. Accordingly, the rental price of retail space is now popularly at 1.4 million dong/m2/month and the rental price of shopping centers is averagely at 1.3 million dong/m2/month. – Vietbiz24
