PVI named insurer of the year 2010 in UK

On August 17, 2010 at the London Stock Exchange, Mr Nguyen Anh Tuan – President of PetroVietnam Insurance Joint Stock Corporation (PVI) – honourably received the World Finance Insurance Company of the Year 2010 from the UK-based World Finance Magazine. To date, PVI is the only non-life insurer in Vietnam to be awarded this prize.

The award “Company of the year” is an annual prize presented for many economic fields (including insurance) and built based on World Finance’s criteria like progressiveness, uniqueness, product quality, strong finances, market role, corporate image, customer relations and personnel.

Along with World Finance’s award, PVI was also rated B+ (Good) for financial strength by the leading international rating agency A.M. Best. PVI topped the market share in the first two quarters of 2010 with 24 percent of market share.
