PVDrilling inks contract to provide oil drilling rig to BHP Billiton

PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services Joint Stock Corp (PVDrilling ‐ coded PVD) on March 22 signed the contract for providing the oil drilling rig of Scorpion Offshore Resolute for the 2011 oil drilling campaign of Australia‐based BHP Billiton, one of the world leading companies in natural resource industry.

In March 2010, the corporation also signed the cooperation contract with Baker Hughes to set up PVDrilling ‐ Baker Hughes Joint Venture in Vietnam with registered capital of $20 million, of which PVD held 51 percent of the total. – Vietbiz24
