PV EIC to Provide Technical Services for Vietnam 1st Oil Refinery

PetroVietnam Energy Industrial Group Corporation (PV EIC) has signed a contract with Binh Son Oil Refining & Petrochemical Co. Ltd (BSR) to provide packing technical services for Vietnam’s first oil refinery Dung Quat.

The services are expected to ensure the quality of the refinery’s products, as well as to reduce operation costs and to raise economic effectiveness of the plant.

PV EIC has set up strategic partnerships with a large number of the world’s leading energy solution providers in order to supply technical services for oil and gas projects at home and overseas over the past years.

BSR, which was set up in June 2008, is managing and operating Dung Quat refinery in the central province of Quang Ngai.

The US$3.054-billion plant is running at full capacity and had produced 3.2 million tons of products, and sold three million tons of its outcomes to the domestic market from its first operation on Feb. 22, 2009 through end-May.
