PV Drilling’s profit after tax estimated at 280b dong in Jan-May

PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services Corp (PV Drilling) has reported business results during the first five months this year with 2.4 trillion dong of revenue and 280 billion dong of profit after tax thanks to two drilling rigs Topaz Driller and Offshore Resolute.

In May alone, PV Drilling’s respective figures were 620 billion dong, up 8.8 percent year-on-year, and 110 billion dong, rising 15 percent against last May.

From June, the company plans to increase drilling services for the third drilling rig rent from Maersk Convincer to provide services for Hoang Long JOC, bringing the firm’s total number of drilling rig to six.

In Q2, PV Drilling expects to reach 1.7 trillion dong of revenue and 300 billion dong of profit and it would be 5.1 trillion dong and 810 billion dong by the end this year.
