Prudential invests more $10m in Vietnam

Prudential has recently pledged to invest more $10 million in Vietnam via Prudence Vietnam Fund with a duration of five years for public social activities only.

Currently, the detailed plan of this investment has not revealed yet. According to Jack Howell, Prudential Vietnam Insurance Co’s general director, the investment for education will account for 35 percent.

Right after being formed in May 2005, the total number of customers of Prudential Vietnam Investment Fund Management Co reached 8,000 people. Till September 2010, Prudential Vietnam’s total asset value reached $1.2 billion.

Established in 2007, Prudential Vietnam Finance Co has reached 100,000 customers so far.

Prudential Vietnam is one of leading companies in the life insurance sector, serving millions of Vietnamese people via its system of 155 customer centers, branches and agents nationwide.

Prudential Vietnam is now leading the life insurance market with over 40 percent of market share of premium.

2010 was considered a successful year for Prudential. As planned, in March 2011, Prudential Vietnam will release the fiscal reports of its offshoots. – Vietbiz24
