Production value of Ministry of Construction’s subsidiaries reaches 11.925tr dong in Oct

Business and production activities of Ministry of Construction (MoC)’s subsidiaries in October and first ten months this year generally gained high increase over the same period last year.

Total business and production value was estimated to attain 11.925 trillion dong in October, or 84.2 percent of this year’s target, bringing the total figure in Jan-October to over 117.789 trillion dong or 123.5 percent year-on-year.

Particularly:

In installation sector: the total value was nearly 5.204 trillion dong in October and it was over 51.8 trillion dong in Jan-Oct, equalling to 87.3 percent of the year’s target and 125.1 percent from the same period last year.

As for industrial production and construction materials: industrial production value and construction materials of MoC’s subsidiaries (including Vietnam Cement Industry Corp) was estimated at over 4.396 trillion dong in October, and it was nearly 41.773 trillion dong in Jan-Oct, or 77.7 percent of the year’s target and 124.3 percent year-on-year.

In October, the cement production reached 4.1 million tonnes and it was 41.38 million tonnes in Jan-Oct, or 82.7 percent of the year’s plan. Also in October, cement sales reached 3.88 million tonnes, decreasing from previous month, and it was 40.4 million tonnes in Jan-Oct, or 80.8 percent of the year’s figure.

In October, the country imported 50,000 tonnes of clinker and the figure was 1.8 million tonnes of clinker in first ten months this year.

As for export and import: during the first ten months, import spending was $18.3 million and the figure was $273.6 million in Jan-Oct, or 90 percent of the year’s target and 97.9 percent from last year. Major import commodities were still machines and equipments.

Meanwhile, export turnover reached $21.2 million in October and it was $150.7 million in Jan-Oct, or 77.8 percent of the year’s plan and 128.5 percent y-o-y.
