Private thermo-power plant built in Quang Ninh

Thang Long Thermo-Power Joint Stock Company on December 29 signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with a Chinese company to build a thermo-power plant in Quang Ninh.

The 645 million USD plant with two turbines and a total capacity of 600MW will be installed with advanced EFB technology from France that allows the plant to use low-quality coal and minimise the emission of greenhouse gases.

When completed after 45 months of construction, Thang Long plant will supply 3.8 billion kWh for the national power grid per year.
