Posco to build another steel mill in south

Posco SS-Vina, a subsidiary of Korea-based Posco Group, has recently been granted investment licence to build another steel mill in Phu My II industrial zone, Tan Thanh dist in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

The steel mill with an estimated capacity of one million tonnes per year has total registered investment capital of over $620 million, of which the contribution capital for the project will be $200 million.

Four years ago, Posco also invested $1.1 billion in a project of producing steel billet in Ba Ria Vung Tau province.
