PetroVietnam to invest VND1,505T in oil, gas, power projects in next 5 years

The state-run Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) plans to invest a combined VND1,505 trillion (US$77.18 billion) in various oil and gas and power projects in the 2011-2015 period.

The group will pour VND559 trillion in oil and gas exploration and production projects and will pump VND314 trillion in gas-fueled electricity generation projects during the period.

PetroVietnam intends to invest VND419 trillion in refining oil and distributing oil and gas products, plus an investment of VND213 trillion in oil and gas services between 2011 and 2015.

Over the past five years, PetroVietnam spent VND283 trillion in numerous projects, including VND99.3 trillion in oil and gas exploration and production, VND64 trillion in gas-fueled power generation, VND69.5 trillion in oil and gas processing and VND50.2 trillion in oil and gas services. – PVN
