PetroVietnam says oil output may rise to 16 million tons in 2009

Vietnam Oil & Gas Group, the state- owned oil company known as PetroVietnam, expects production to increase to 16 million tons this year, according to a statement released at a press conference Tuesday in Hanoi.

Crude oil production rose to 14 million tons in the 10 months through October, and exports gained to 13 million tons, the Hanoi-based company said.
