PetroVietnam Drilling achieves profit of 316b dong in first five months

PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services Joint Stock Corp (coded PVD) has released the business reports in the first five months of 2010 with total revenue of 2.57 trillion dong and profit of 316 billion dong, fulfilling 50 percent and 39 percent of the year plan respectively.

Up to now, the company has already put into operation five oil derricks, accounting for 50 percent of drilling market shares. In June only, the company reported earning profit of over 100 billion dong, raising the accumulative profit in Jan-June of over 400 billion dong.
