Pepper export crosees $420m marck in H1

Till the end of June, the country’s pepper export reached 70,000 tons for more than $420 million, equaling to the pepper export turnover of entire 2010, the Thoi Bao Kinh Te Saigon newspaper reported.
Do Ha Nam, Chairman of Vietnam Pepper Association said that this year’s pepper exports would likely surpass $600 million, growing $180 million against 2010.

Pepper export price onwards to 2012 is expected to be high because pepper supplies from the countries such as Vietnam, Brazil, Indonesia between end-October and January 2012 are not much while global demand is increasing highly. – Vietbiz24
