Panasonic to Open Panasonic Risupia Vietnam

Panasonic Corporation today announced the opening of a sciences and mathematics-themed facility called Panasonic Risupia Vietnam, the second facility of its kind in the world after Japan. The new facility utilizes Panasonic’s advanced AV technologies and know-how to interpret the world’s famous principles of sciences and mathematics into various playing activities for Vietnamese children aged from 11 to 17 years old. In addition, the facility will also include a showroom exhibiting Panasonic’s latest technologies and corporate messages.

Risupia, a name developed from the Japanese word “Ri” for Sciences and “Su” for Mathematics was first opened in August 2006 at Panasonic Center Tokyo, as a support to the development of Japan’s future generation by providing a place for children to play with several laws and principles of sciences and mathematics.

Similarly, to encourage the future generation of Vietnam, Panasonic Risupia Vietnam is designed to bring children through the phase of question to self study, and then finally discovery through the use of their five senses. To experience the beauty of mathematics and the wonder of science from everyday life, there are several themes such as sciences, mathematics, and water in the four corners (see below) exhibited in the Risupia Zone.

- Science & Mathematics Area:
A corner which exhibits the fascinations of scientific principles and mathematical principles through hands-on-experiences

- Water Area:
A corner to learn about the mystery and beauty of water and its relation to the environment.

- Discovery Base Camp:
Find out the mysteries behind the theories and principles displayed through easy to understand explanations

- Magical Performance Theater:
A magical theater to immerse into the wonders of mathematics in a 3D theater through chromakey technology. Panasonic Risupia Vietnam has been established in Hanoi as a communication space to spur the interests of children in sciences and mathematics.

In addition, the Showroom zone of the facility includes various corners such as Panasonic’s “Environmental Vision,” “Eco Technologies,” and a view of “Tomorrow’s Lifestyle” through Panasonic’s PDP and Full HD 3D technology in order to present comfortable, eco-friendly lifestyle ideas using Panasonic’s latest products, environmental technologies, and advanced AV technologies.

Based on the founder Konosuke Matsushita’s Creed of “Contribution to the Society”, through the establishment of Panasonic Risupia Vietnam, Panasonic will continue its unending efforts to devote to the progress and development of the country of Vietnam and its people.
