Opportunity to promote domestic footwear

The 29th international conference on Asian footwear will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on September 7.

At a press briefing in Ho Chi Minh City on August 18, the president of the Vietnam Leather and Footwear Association (Lefaso), Nguyen Duc Thuan said that this is an excellent opportunity for Vietnam to promote its footwear sector and raise its position in the global market.

The conference, with 12 countries taking part, will provide plenty of opportunity for domestic businesses to promote investment and export activities.

Phan The Hao, chief representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the southern region, said that the sector ranks third in terms of export turnover contribution with an annual growth of 1015 percent. – VOV
