Oil refinery to be upgraded
Japanese contractor JGC has been awarded a contract to upgrade the Dung Quat Oil Refinery in the central province of Quang Ngai.
Under the contract, JGC will complete a feasibility study in 22 weeks.
When it is finished, the US$2.5 million project will increase the plant’s output to 10 million tonnes per year from the current 6.5 million tonnes per year.
The Dung Quat Oil Refinery with capital investment of over $3 billion, provides about 30 per cent of the nation’s petrol.
