Offshore oil field completes trial run

Oil rigs in the offshore Su Tu Den Dong Bac (Northeast Black Lion) oil field in the waters off southern Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province completed a successful trial run after 10 days of operation.

The rigs produced 22,000 barrels of oil per day, which effectively expanded the production capacity of the national oil and gas company, PetroVietnam.

The oil field had its first trial run on April 30 by an oil rig that was operated electronically. The rigs are under the management of a PetroVietnam subsidiary, Cuu Long JOC.
