Nippon gets greenlight for steel pipe factory

Nippon Steel Pipe Viet Nam Co Ltd received approval to build a twisted steel pipe factory in October this year in Phu My 2 industrial zone in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau with a total investment capital of US$31 million.

The factory is expected to begin operations from the middle of 2011 with a capacity of 5,000 tonnes of steel pipe a month. — VNS
