Nearly 500MW to be added to national grid

The EVN is striving to supplement this amount with 600 MW more from generator 2 of the Hai Phong thermal electricity plant in May.

Some projects scheduled to start work this year, including Nghi Son 1 and Mong Duong 1 thermal power plants and River Bung 4 hydroelectric power plant, are only gradually completing their procedures.

With a key national project, the Lai Chau hydroelectric power plant, the Prime Minister has decided to establish a state assessment council. The EVN is coordinating with consultancy units to prepare for answering questions before the council.
