MPI, IFC to Organise Vietnam Business Forum Late June

The Vietnam Business Forum is scheduled to take place in Hanoi on June 22, 2010, just before the opening of the mid-year Consultative (CG) Group Meeting.

This is an organised and constructive dialogue channel for the Government and business community in Vietnam to build a favourable business climate, attract investors and spur economic growth.

The event will be jointly held by International Finance Corporation (IFC) – a member of the World Bank Group – and the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam (MPI). Co-chairpersons include Mr Vo Hong Phuc, Minister of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, Victoria Kwakwa, Country Director of the World Bank in Vietnam, and Simon Andrews, IFC Regional Manager for Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand.

This forum will focus on the following topics: Sensing economy environment by Vietnamese and international business associations, infrastructure, human resource development, and administrative, law and tax reforms.
