More than 1.5tr dong to build Kon Tum airport

Under a plan announced by the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV-the Ministry and Transport (MoT) and Kom Tum provincial People’s Committee on June 10, a new airport will be built in Kon Tum city in the central highland province of Kon Tum.
Accordingly, the airport covering an area of 162.2 hectares in Ngoc Bay commune will require a total investment capital of 1.500 trillion dong with two phases including approximately one trillion dong for the first phase (till 2020) and over 543 billion dong for the second one (2021 afterward).

Luu Thanh Binh, CAAV’s general director, said that the airport will link Kon Tum with other provinces across the country.

It is also a step to reinforce national defense and security, Binh said. – Vietbiz24
