Mobifone, Viettel and VinaPhone dominate Vietnam market

Three telecom network operators including MobiFone, Viettel and VinaPhone continue to dominate the market with advantages in terms of size and branding.

According to research’s results carried out by TNS market researching company in 2009, among seven network operators, MobiFone mobile network took the first position in the market of Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City in terms of brand identification, popularity and demand.

In regards to brand identification, in the opinion poll, MobiFone scored 100%, following Viettel and Vinaphone with 99%, S-Fone with 84%, Beeline with 76%, Vietnamobile with 63% and EVN Telecom with 59%.

Regarding popularity, MobiFone also took the first with 54%, following Viettel with 29% and Vinaphone with only 14%.

As for demand, MobiFone still led the opinion poll scoring 56%, following Viettel with 44% and Vinaphone with 25%.
