Ministry of transport asks Jica for technical support in North-South railway project

The leaders of ministry of transport have requested Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica) to provide technical aid under non-refundable ODA to carry out three railway projects.

In mid-August, ministry of transport already submitted a document to Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, Jica and Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Tourism about providing technical aid for setting up high-speed railway projects from Hanoi-Vinh and HCM City – Nha Trang, as well as upgrading Hanoi – Noi Bai railway.

Previously, in order to make comprehensive studies about the high-speed railway from Hanoi – HCM City, the prime minister has already in principle approved for receiving technical aid from Japanese government to realise the three fore-mentioned projects.
