Miner suspended for illegal exploitation

Northern Lao Cai Province has decided to suspend the operation of Na Ni Sa Co Ltd for illegally exploiting minerals.

The company was also fined VND45 million ($2,385) and had VND956 million ($50,668) from selling minerals confiscated. The firm has been told to repair damage it has caused to the environment. —VNS
