MDB gains 180b dong profit in Jan-Apr

Till April 20, 2011 Mekong Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (MDB) said its pretax profit at nearly 180 billion dong.
The bank also posted its equity at 3.75 trillion dong, total deposits at 1.78 trillion dong and total assets at over 9.5 trillion dong.

MDB said it inaugurated its branch in Hanoi already on April 27, marking the bank’s first branch in the north. The bank’s northern branch is located at No 308, Xa Dan St, Phuong Lien ward, Dong Da district, Hanoi.

On this occasion, MDB’s Hanoi branch will give 300 attractive gifts for 300 first customers.

Reportedly, MDB is one of few banks finalizing the increase of chartered capital from one trillion dong to three trillion dong via offering more shares to the strategic partner namely Fullerton Financial Holding Pte.Ltd with 100 percent stake held by Teamasek Holding Pte.Ltd, Singapore’s leading financial group.
