May 18: foreigners flock to VCB, run away from property

Foreigners extended their net buying position on both two bourses today though their selling activities rose in the primary exchange, their buying focused on VCB while selling concentrated on realty stocks.

On HOSE, foreigners net bought VND10.71 billion shares after buying 3,790,437 shares for VND107.21 billion and sold 4,000,177 shares for VND96.5 billion, accounting for 19.95% buying value and 17.95% selling value.

The different in volume and value showed that foreigners sold pennies and bought high-priced stocks, this is reflected in their net buying of 1.19 million VCB shares today.

Foreigners consistently bought into VCB and CTG. They most actively bought into VCB(VND34 billion),CTG(VND5.93 billion), CII (VND4.8 billion), PVD (VND2.3 billion) and VHC (VND1.6 billion).

Their top net selling list was STB(-VND13.8 billion), SJS(-VND13 billion), HAG(-VND8.25 billion), SSI(-VND 7.4 billion) and VIC (-VND2.8 billion). Property and banks stock continued to be in the list of heavy offloaded shares.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, these foreign players net bought VND2.57 billion shares after buying 426,300 shares for VND7.4 billion and selling 341,800 shares for VND4.83 billion accounting for 2.13% buying value and 1.39% selling value.

They actively bought PVS, VCG, BVS, PVC, AA while their active offloaded were PVX, PVI, VND, PVL, TV2. – Stoxplus.com
