Mai Linh Group plans to build 94km Nghi Son-Bai Vot expressway

Nghe An province People’ Committee has lately submitted a document to Ministry of Transport to seek approval for Mai Linh Group to participate in construction project of Nghi Son-Bai Vot Expressway with total length of 94 kilometres under BOT or PPP method.

Nguyen Hoang, head of department of planning and investment under Ministry of Transport, the authority was in progress of persuading World Bank to fund $1 billion for carrying out the Nghi Son Expressway project within the period of 2011-2014.

Nghi Son-Bai Vot expressway has total length of 94.1 kilometres, to be built with 4-6 lanes and designed speed for vehicles of 120 km/h. The total investment capital for this project was estimated at about 20 trillion dong.
