LPG producers meet 58 % demand
The country produced 52,500 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in May, meeting 58 percent of the domestic demand while the remainder of 37,500 tons was imported from overseas, said the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In May, the world prices of LPG remained high due to unstable politics in North Africa, increasing imports from Japan and the world prices of gasoline.
Experts predict that if there is no big fluctuation in the world’s gasoline prices, the world’s prices of LPG will come standstill this month, resulting in stable LPG prices in the domestic market. – Vietnamplus
