Local travel agency reopens tours to Japan

Samurai Tour Travel Agency, a travel company specialized in tours to Japan, has said it would reopen its tours to Japan this August after a hiatus due to the tsunami.
“We got tourists but the number wasn’t high enough,” said Nguyen Van Thanh, Samurai Tour’s sale director.

From May 30 to June 6, Samurai Tour and the Japanese airlines All Nippon Airways will also hold a survey trip for Vietnamese travel firms to inspect Japan’s tourist destinations after the disaster.

Thanh said Samurai Tour’s partners in Japan said their tourist services has been recovered.

All tours to Japan were canceled after the earthquake, tsunami and radiation leakage from Fukusima I plant in March.

Since then, no Vietnamese travel agency has organized tours to Japan.  -Tuoitre
