Local airlines charge more for domestic flights

Low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific Airlines (JPA) and Air Mekong have both announced higher prices for their domestic flights.
JPA’s Vice President Ta Huu Thanh said JPA now has 12 different price levels for its domestic flights and one-way tickets for flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City now cost from 850.000 dong to 2.5 million dong.

JPA however will apply these higher prices during seasons of high demands only, Thanh said, adding that most of the new prices are just a little higher than previously.

Air Mekong has also increased prices for flights between Hanoi and Phu Quoc. One-way tickets on this route now cost 2.7 million dong, excluding taxes and fees.

As for prices of other domestic routes, Air Mekong’s President Doan Viet Quoc said they had been increased only slightly.

Air Mekong’s lowest price for flights between HCMC and Hanoi is 1.1 million dong, excluding taxes and fees. – Tuoitre
