Kuwait helps Ha Tinh develop infrastructure

The Kuwaiti Government will provide US$14.6 million in loans through the Kuwait Fund to help central Ha Tinh province develop its infrastructure.

The loans contract was signed in Hanoi on March 25 by Deputy Finance Minister Tran Xuan Ha and Kuwait Fund Deputy General Director Hesham Al-Waqayan.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister Ha said the signing of the loans contract provides evidence of the increasing development of the close economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Finance Ministry said that through the Kuwait Fund, the Kuwaiti State has funded nine projects in Vietnam with a total loan of US$140 million.

The capital has been poured into rural infrastructure projects and small-scale irrigation and traffic works in poor provinces.

A number of projects have been put into operation, including the Dau Tieng reservoir, the Van Dinh irrigation scheme and Dac Ta-Ngoc Linh road segment. – VOV
