Korea investor designs new bridge connecting Hanoi & Vinh Phuc
The South Korea-based Yooshin – Sambo Engineering Co Ltd has been assigned for conducting the construction project of Vinh Thinh Bridge, the largest concrete bridge over Red River to be located in the ring road No 5. The total contract value was posted at $6.2 million.
The foreign agent will be responsible for surveying, designing, preparing the bidding invitation and supervising the construction works for the project.
According to Thang Long Management Board, under Ministry of Transport, the project manager, Vinh Thinh bridge will come up on National Highway No 2C, in ring road No 5, connecting Son Tay Township, Hanoi with Vinh Tuong Dist, Vinh Phuc Province. The total length of the project is 5.5 kilometres, with the main bridge of 4.4 kilometres long and 16.5 metres wide.
The total investment capital for this project is estimated at 2.323 trillion dong, mainly taken from the South Korean government’s ODA loans of $100 million and counterpart capital of $37.1 million.
As planned, the construction of Vinh Thinh bridge will be started in Q1 of 2011 and put into operation in December 2013. – Dautu
