Kien Giang exports 23 tonnes of globefish to the RoK

Kien Giang has exported around 23 tonnes of globefish to the Republic of Korea (RoK), according to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD).

This is the first batch of goods shipped to the RoK under the DARD’s decision.

The Mai Sao Ltd Company, which is the only company allowed to purchase and process globefish, says that it has bought around 100 tonnes of material globefish.

Currently, the price of globefish is VND10,000-15,000 per kilo. Fishermen say that they can get extra income from selling globefish to pay for petroleum expense, instead of throwing it away as they had previously.
