JICA to Prioritize Capitals for Transport Projects in Hanoi This Year

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will prioritize capitals for transport infrastructure projects in Hanoi this year.

The projects include Nhat Tan bridge, a road linking Thanh Tri bridge with the belt road 3, Gia Lam-Giap Bat railway and Nam Thang Long-Tran Hung Dao railway.

Hanoi disbursed VND2.757 trillion ($144.57 million) for major infrastructure projects in the first four months of this year, fulfilling 18.2% of the full-year target.

The city will need $160 billion for its development projects until 2020. Of the sum, private businesses will make up 48%, state budget 16% and state-run businesses 9%-12% and the remainder from other sources.
