Japanese firm invests $70m to build motor compact plant in HCM City

The Japan-based Nidec Copal Co has received a licence for investment project of a motor compact plant valued at $70 million in HCM City High-tech Park.

This project called Nidec Copal Presision Vietnam (NCVP) is the fourth project that Nidec Group has invested in Vietnam, after the three previous ones of Nidec Sankyo Vietnam, Nidec Vietnam Corporation and Nidec Servo Vietnam.

Shinji Kondo, manager of NCVP project revealed that his company has received orders from other partners. The plant is expected to be operational by early April 2011.
