Japan wants to cooperate with the Ministry of Science and Technology to apply the modern technology of preservation farm and seafood products named Cells Alive System (CAS) in Vietnam.
The proposal was made by Norio Owada, Director of Japan’s ABI Company on August 29.
While receiving deputy minister of Science and Technology, Tran Viet Thanh, Mr Owada said by companion with traditional frozen methods, CAS is an advanced technology that can help to retain the colour, flavor and nutrition of farm produce and seafood products for a long time.
Experts said that CAS will improve the international competitive edge of agro-seafood products for export, ensure food security and pave the way for new applications in medical research.
Deputy minister Thanh expressed keen interest in Japan’s processing and preservation of post-harvest farm and seafood products.
Mr Thanh said the Ministry of Science and Technology will draw up plans to promote cooperation with ABI in this field. – VOV
