Japan to support Hanoi project to improve traffic system

Hanoi People’s Committee and Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica) yesterday February 24 signed an agreement to support the project of improving the public traffic system in Hanoi.

In particular, the project will be carried out in three years with $3 million financed by the Japanese government. This is a technical cooperation project to develop the management capacity of public transport in the Vietnam’s capital city.

According to the signed agreement, Jica will send its experts to join and train for the Hanoi’s managers in Japan and in other countries.

During recent years, Jica has been supporting urban railway project and subway project for Hanoi city.
