Interbank forex rate sees highest level since Feb 17

On March 30, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) adjusted up the interbank forex rate to 20,698 dong/US dollar, increasing 10 dong/US dollar from 20,688 dong/US dollar on March 29.

With the rise of 10 dong/US dollar, the interbank forex rate today saw the highest level since February 17 and lower 15 dong/US dollar than the peak of 20,713 dong/US dollar on February 12 and 14.

Since March 17 so far, the central bank has continuously adjusted up or remained unchanged the interbank forex rate while the forex rate has been adjusted down in only two days.

With this interbank forex rate, commercial banks also en masse listed the ceiling forex rate at 20,905 dong/US dollar.

At Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Foreign Trade (Vietcombank-VCB), the FX rate is quoted at 20,900 dong (buying price) and 20,905 dong/US dollar. The buying price of US dollar at some other banks is quoted at 20,875 dong (Sacombank), 20,900 dong (VietinBank), 20,890 dong (ACB), 20,885 dong (Eximbank) and 20,900 dong/US dollar (Bidv).
