Interbank forex rate drops 5 dong after remaining unchanged for 6 days

The interbank average forex rate today Tuesday (May 24) announced by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) is 20,668 dong/US dollar, dropping 5 dong/US dollar from yesterday, after six straight days of remaining unchanged. Accordingly, the forex rate ceiling at commercial banks will be 20,875 dong/US dollar and the forex rate floor is at 20,461 dong/US dollar.

The dong/US dollar forex rate listed at some large commercial banks decreased strongly 70 dong from yesterday morning.

Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Foreign Trade (Vietcombank-VCB) quoted the US dollar buying-selling prices at 20,630-20,730 dong, down 70 dong in both buying and selling prices day on day. The difference between the US dollar buying and selling prices at Vietcombank is 100 dong, marking the lowest level amongst large commercial banks.

Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank-EIB) also quoted the US dollar buying price at 20,590 dong and selling price at 20,730 dong, the gap between buying and selling is 140 dong.
