Interbank average forex rate slips to 20,718 dong/US dollar April 14

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has announced the interbank average forex rate today (April 14) at 20,718 dong/US dollar, falling 5 dong/US dollar from yesterday.

On April 11, the interbank forex rate set up a new record high at 20,723 dong/US dollar and maintained this high level on April 13. On April 12, the banking system paused operations on the occasion of Hung King’s death anniversary.

Accordingly, the ceiling forex rate of commercial bank today will be 20,925 dong/US dollar.

According to the prime minister’s order, the maximum volume of US dollar cash which a resident is allowed to bring abroad without reporting to customs agencies must be $5,000, falling $2,000 from the regulation issued in 2004.

In details, the US dollar buying price is listed at some banks as follows: Sacombank (20,895 dong), Vietcombank (20,920 dong), VietinBank (20,920 dong), ACB (20,910 dong), Eximbank (20,905 dong) and Bidv (20,920 dong/US dollar). – SBV
