Inter-bank trading value of dong rises 18.7pct from Sept. 17-23

Total trading value on the interbank market in the week from Sept. 17 – 23 was estimated at approximately 116.949 trillion dong and US$2.641 billion, an average of 23.39 trillion dong and US$528 million/day, VietBiz24.com quoted the latest report from the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on Friday.
Thus, compared with the week of Sept. 10 – 16, the total trading value in dong rose 18.7%, while the dollar transactions increased 11.2%.

During the week, the dong transactions mainly incurred in the short terms (overnight and 1-week), with total trading value of these two terms accounting for 65% of total revenue, while US dollar transactions mainly focused on the overnight term, with the total value of this term accounting for 58% of total dollar transactions. – Vietbiz24
